Today when I was just about to up the database, I faced ORA-27054 error. The error is basically pertaining to the NFS mount point, either not properly mount or some permission issue.
Below is some part of the error.
alter database mount Sat Jun 05 08:03:07 2010 ORA-00202: control file: '/cashdb/newdir/cash_index/ctl/control02.ctl' ORA-27054: NFS file system where the file is created or resides is not mounted with correct options
Solution can be,
1. Make sure mount tab file has read access for Oracle user. In order to check the mount option whether mount table can be read. Issue,
# cat /etc/mnttab
2. The NFS partition where the file resides is not mounted correctly. correct mount option,
default rsize and wsize for NFS is 4096 Blocks
Well this is what I found on net for the error. But It didn’t help me out.
Solution which did help me out is the below one.
Editing init.ora and adding the following line:
event=”10298 trace name context forever, level 32″
and then startup the database or can also be set,
alter system set event=”10298 trace name context forever, level 32″;
and then bounce the database.
This event disables the NFS checks in 10g.
